The Central Virginia Cattlemen Association (CVCA) was formed in the Fall of 1998. Currently there are approximately 320 producers in the association who own a total of more than 30,000 brood cows. Our association headquarters is located in Orange, Virginia. The purpose of the group is to promote and improve livestock production, education, and marketing of beef cattle.
The Central Virginia Cattlemen Association (CVCA) provides many functions for its members that are some of the leading beef cow-calf producers in Central Virginia. Members market preconditioned steer and heifer calves in trailer load lots. Members bulk purchase minerals from Renaissance Nutrition, animal health supplies from Boehringer Ingelheim and Zoetis, and gates from Fleenor Gate Company. Educational programs are also provided at least once a quarter for producers to keep informed of the latest information in the cattle business.
